Gnosis and Theophany

So this weekend I decided I wanted to learn how to shoot a gun. Not ever having done so, the whole thing intrigued Me and I will admit to wanting to overcome My personal anxieties about firearms. My family never kept them; sport shooting, hunting, etc weren’t hobbies any of the men in My family partook of.

Lucky for Me, squire is fluent in firearms. So guess what he got to so this past weekend? he had the honor and priviledge to take Me to the shooting range, offer Me instruction on safety and techniques, and rent Me a gun to use for practice. 

he was even obedient enough to take a picture of Me in the process! I was rather impressed by that, as I had really mentioned it in passing that we should take pics while we were there, and lo and behold what did I get delivered to My phone a little later that evening?

Gotta love it!

My hand, unfortunately is very sore from the recoil on the weapong itself, and I’m sad to report that My targetting needs a ton of practice. I have to learn to relax into it more and stop anaylzying Myself in the process. Seems I’m as hard on Myself as I am My devotees. But that’s only because I hold Myself to high standards, as I expect to be treated accordingly.

I was quite proud of one particular target however, so I kept it for posterity. Mind you, again, I haven’t EVER picked up a firearm before this, so I was rather proud of My progress initially. I realize it will take more practice and look forward to going back soon enough to do just that!

I don’t remember now which target number this was, and one of the ones after it, in My frustration for missing completely, I hit the ring around the bullseye itself….but this one I was still very pleased with, all things considered.

Needless to say, I loved it and very much want to continue this new skill! Just have to remember advice I give to prospects…just breathe. Trust yourself, relax and breath. Good thing I’m patient as all hell! *winks*

In addition to that, I also managed to skin My own thumb in the process. Apparently My nail was just long enough, and was jagged from being snagged, and every time I pulled the trigger I managed to scrap off a little more skin on that first box of ammo.

Had to resist the urge to stick the finger into My mouth and ‘clean’ it. There was a pretty decent amount of blood, but with the dust from firing and what not, I didn’t think it the best idea.

Band-aid was located and use for the second box and that improved things some.

squire and I then spent the rest of the day shopping, even though he was exhausted from lack of sleep. his natal day is coming up fairly quickly and I really need to figure out what to get him for it.

Anyway, going to watch the mindless drivel that is “True Beauty” and relax before heading to bed. Just wanted to post about My lovely little outing this weekend.

I have been considering more ideas for things you little kittens can snatch up and play with. Videos, pictures, blog posts, etc. More of ME to see and especially hear, even when I might not be available directly, that will also fatten My wallet. After all, I do enjoy shopping so! Video and such might very well be taken while I’m on vacation in July. I’ll open the forums now – should you have any ideas, and I’m certain you all reading this do, now is the time to put in requests.

Mind you, just because I’m asking for what perverted, warped, self-serving ideas you pathetic losers have in those pea-brains of yours doesn’t mean that they will be fulfill. However, if something is creative, intelligent (doubt it) and workable for Me and My tastes, I might be inclined to incorporate it into something tangible. If you don’t ask, after all, how in the world do you ever get what you want? (Unless of course, you’re Me and simply demand it.)

Now, let Me remind you all as well that My birthday is fast approaching on the 3rd of July. Now would be a good time to start preparing as I want to see multitudes of presents for Me on any of the means outlined on My website.

Now, onto the good stuff!

I DID go to see Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time today. Over all I was pleasantly surprised! Now, mind you, geek Goddess that I am, I haven’t played the video game the movie is based off of, (yes, it’s based on a video game and yes, I am enough of a geek to have known that prior to seeing it.) so I’m not sure story continuity wise how well it adhered to the origins, but I wasn’t expecting over much, Gyllenhaal and Bruckheimer none-with-standing.

I’ve also never been an overly fond fan of Jake Gyllenhaal. Though I’ve loved his work in Brokeback Mountain, Donnie Darko and The Good Girl.

I was also skeptical having seen early released photographs of him in that hideous wig. See proof below:

Really though, watching the movie, it was hard to stay focused on the wig much when faced with this:

Beyond that however, I was rather impressed. The story line was simple enough, though somewhat transparent in scope. It was entertaining and the sword play ROCKED; was quite impressed with the action scenes, their choreography and how they were filmed.

Gemma Arterton is just beautiful to Me, even though her voice can get a little grating at times:

There is a plethora of costuming I would like to do from this movie already so that means I need the funds. you want to see your sadistic geek Goddess in something like this:

Anyway, the movie was more than I expected, which is probably a good thing. It wasn’t as fun as, say Sherlock Holmes in scope, but it was worth the money spent at the theater. Certainly one I’ll add the the library once it’s on DVD. Was unfortunate that squire was unavailable to accompany Me – the poor dear.

I’m getting sleepy though, so I think it’s time for some quiet (if My neighbors will afford Me that, the self-entitled assholes that they are), ice cream and vegetating in front of the tube for a while. Call, you know you want to!

Eyup. I did it. I took the plunge and have started to use P90X. For those not in the know, it’s a home work out system that is quite….drastic. I have plenty of friends I know who have used it to great results and since I found Myself feeling squishy, I decided it was time to get back on the ball.

Working out at home, for Me, seems to be easier then trying to make time for the gym or anything else.

I’m on the third day, and let Me tell you….OUCH. In such a good way though! This must be what you all feel like after a good session. *winks* All of My muscles are yelling at Me, including one’s I didn’t even know I have!

My personal goal is to see where I’m at in 6 weeks when I head off for My vacation. Nope, not going to tell you where. I might tell you after if you all behave. Needless to say, I have a month and a half to get there. Will be interesting, to say the least, to see what progress I make.

In other news, I’m sitting here watching RuPauls Drag Race. Oh, how I love drag queens! So damn sassy and fierce! Plus better make up and style than most women I know. ya gotta love it!

It’s been a quiet Memorial Day weekend so far, and I can only hope that it remains such. I’ll post more about that subject later.

Tomorrow the plans are to go to the movies to see Prince of Persia. Will write a review later if I do so.

Saw Robin Hood last night. I was rather underwhelmed, which is truly what I expected going in; so at least it didn’t let Me down. I felt as though I were watching Gladiator only 500 years later and with a better love interest. Though I could appreciate the new spin on a classic ballad, it didn’t give Me anything new I hadn’t seen before.

Spent the day shopping with squire. I didn’t get much, honestly. Nothing really caught My interest today and said BUY ME though there were a number of times, much to My delight that squire was a good pet and asked if there was anything of interest he should get for Me.

Such a good pet. he really is trying to come to terms with himself in order to properly serve Me. Got a bit cocky…excuse the pun…the other night during sex but when he saw how easy it was for Me to literally pull away and ‘turn it off’ I’m certain he understood. Luckily for him I not only enjoy him servicing Me, but I love the little bastard.

he’s also working on preparing a bit of a vacation for Me this summer…one which you can all contribute to as well since it will be right after My birthday. you know what that means, too, don’t you? I’ll be expecting to be WELL and truly taken care of for My natal day festivities. I expect you all to address and lavish presents on Me accordingly. At least I’m giving you time to prepare.

Tomorrow is suiting up to be a day of working and rest – how I’m going to manage to accomplish both yet remains to be seen. But I’m certain in My own ability to accomplish it.

after doing some reading. Currently reading “Changes” by Jim Butcher. It’s one of the Dresden Files books; a series I am rather fond of.

Of course, would be better if the jackass downstairs wasn’t blaring his music again. Had My nightly television vegging interrupted by some bob seger. Course, I highly doubt he’s sashaying around in his white dress shirt, tightie white-ies and socks playing air guitar.

I unfortunately had to call local authorities on him as last time I tried to do anything about it (by stomping around on his head) I was promtly told to “call the police you stupid bitch”

Well ahem. Excuse Me?

Oh well. I’ve tried to be a considerate neighbor long enough. I even followed the traditional ‘chain’ of complaints; first to him, then to the office manager, before calling in the cavalry. I just really hate calling in the boys in blue. They have much more important things to worry about then an inconsiderate ass who can’t seem to realize that the world doesnt revolve around him.

It revolves around Me. Lets get that straight, shall we?

Not to mention, it gets past 10 PM…you do the proper thing and turn your fucking stereo down. Plain and simple.

Been rather blah most of today – not sure if it was the rainy Florida weather or just this headache that’s prevailed most of the afternoon. Regardless, The Tudors are on tonight so I’ll stay up to watch that. Gotta love Me some Jonathon Rhys Meyers. Yummy. Henry Cavil isn’t that hard on the eyes either. Rather partial to him. Gotta love it when men look delicious in period clothing. Not an easy thing to do, mind you. Most men look rather foolish. But there are some that are simply divine. This would be two of them.

Of course, I love the show itself. So horribly decadent. Not a bad bit of drama and entertainment for an hour a week or so. I’ve loved it from the very beginning and it’s one of the highlights to My week to get to sit down and enjoy it.

Granted, as actors they are merely figments to be enjoyed from a far. But how much would I love to get My hands on either of them and leave marks on their backs?

Beyond that I’ve spend the weekend rather quietly. squire being unavailable is a nuisance, but it’s part of life really. I’ve debated taking on others, but simply haven’t found one that I feel worthy of My actual real life attention. That and I just dont want to bring someome else into My home just yet. Want more space for that, and more things to play with. I really do need a proper play space.

Hoping that the jackass downstairs will continue his quietness. I prefer him that way, and since I’m unable to go down and pound the living crap out of him like I want to most of the time due to the laws of society (damn society!), I can appreciate when things are as I desire them to be.

Now I just need to update My site! That will be My main focus this evening I think. In addition to doing laundry. squire is unavailable and I don’t have the desire to go out, so Domestic Goddess I will be.

First and foremost I would like to offer My personal thanks and gratitude for any and all who have worn a uniform. Today is US Armed Forces Day after all, and My appreciation for the men and Women who had made the ultimate decision to serve their country is unlimited.

I am a strong supporter of our military and feel that they should be respected their sacrifices. Their families as well for all that they endure. It is a generally thankless, and difficult job, regardless of branch or level of service.

Let us not forget, as well, the men and Women who are first responders on our home soil. The police, emt, firefighter et al who run towards the danger while the rest of us run away. Their courage, determination and will are to be commended.

Make sure,  as this is also the end of National Police Week, that you thank those in uniform you see. you would be amazed at how far a small show of appreciation can go, and what it can do for those that rarely get to hear it.

So what do you think of the redesign, hm? It’s rare I ask for opinions so you mine as well take advantage of it while you have the chance.

I’m hoping, at least, that the idiotic neighbor downstairs from Me is considerate enough NOT to blast his radio tonight. I’m rather tired of listening to “Sweet Home Alabama”, “Walking in Memphis” and a myriad of Elton John classics. What I wouldn’t give to be able to string him up and whip the hell out of his hide. Alas, I doubt he’d been copacetic to that idea and as much as I’d like to punch the fucker in the face, I have no desire to see the inside of a cell.

Sure would be fun to pummel his scrawny ass though. Especially after last week when he yelled up thruogh the floor that I was a ’stupid bitch’.

I swear. I’m still here!

Life, again, just got REALLY busy. Lots of projects I’m assisting with and contributing to. Lots of possibilities and ideas for the future. But no need to worry My darling little sycophants! Now for the good stuff.

First I’m going to start off with a review of Iron Man 2.
Let Me start off by saying that beyond anything else, I would happily sign up to have Robert Downey, Jr.’s babies. Yes. He rocks while you suck. you know you’d happily suck his cock for Me too if you were ordered (and assuming he’d be game for it as well, of course.) The movie itself was very enjoyable. I go into these things expecting a good action flick. The fact that it has some very high quality actors in it from Downey, to Paltrow, to Cheadle and Rourke doesn’t hurt it one iota.

I didn’t read Iron Man when I was into comics. Yes, I read comics and will still occasionally do so when one strikes My fancy. Live with it. So for Me, I’m watching it almost as any mundane, ‘normal’ non-comic book reading patron would view it. Granted, I have a little ‘in’ in that I have those I can turn to and say, “alright, how’d it stack up to the original?”. From what I understand the first did exceptionally well, and this wasn’t a let down either. The only real complaint I heard was that someone was upset Black Canary (played by Scarlett Johanssen) didnt have the appropriate accent. Alright, well, that’s relatively minor as her having an accent or not didn’t seem to deter from the film itself. Personally, if she couldn’t pull it off, I’d rather her NOT and not screw it up then try it and fail.

Black Canary, of course, kicked holy ASS and I absolutely fell in love with her for it. Yes, I want the costume. Yes, My own ass needs to get into the gym to be able to wear it. I’ll get there though. *winks*

Rourke was excellent as Whiplash. Man plays characters like that like a second skin, which I would assume they are to him, so it’s not surprising that I enjoyed his portrayal of the bad guy.

I wasnt sure what to make of the switch between Terrance Mann to Don Cheadle as Rhoadie/WarMachine, but I quite enjoyed the switch. Mann is, essentially, easy on the eyes. But Cheadle is a better actor and filled the part out nicely.

Downey is…well he’s Downey. I’ve already expressed My views there in. *growls*

Action was awesome. I prefer more personal combat in My films. I don’t generally like to see a lot of CGI work and what not. But for this, it works, and really gave Me what I sat down hoping to see. Lots of explosions, comedy, action and great acting for an action film without overdoing it TOO much. (Clash of the Titans could really take a lesson here) Needless to say, I give it two enthusiastic thumbs in the ass.

Maybe that’s what I should make My own personal movie rating systems! thumbs in the ass! They can be up, down, sideways or any combination there in! I rather like that idea, actually! I’m going with it.

My that was a rather long review, now, wasn’t it?

The past few weeks I’ve been under the weather as well. (This is where you “awwww” and open those wallets to send Me things to make Me happy in My recovery, btw.) Was finally starting to feel decent this weekend and squire, lovely devoted little whore that he is, treated Me to a mini-vacation in the land of mouse – otherwise known as Disney World.

Now, I’m not huge on the whole Princess thing. I generally despise princesses. My exceptions to that are Belle (since she’s not really a princess but a highly intelligent, well rounded Woman) and Ariel. The two odd-ball princesses. Go figure.

I’m also not one to be CALLED a princess. Some girls are, but they are just that. Girls. I’m a Woman. I’ll be your Goddess or Queen, thankyouverramuch.

I’m MUCH more so into the villains, of course. Give Me Maleficent especially. Or the Evil Queen. Cernabog. Oh yes, Cernabog. If you don’t know what charactre that is, google it damn it. (you expect Me to do ALL the work in My posts?!)

When it comes to the cute in Disney, I’ll take Stitch, or some of the other animal type characters.

Anyway, it was an awesome trip. I was well take care of. Doted on. Adored. And of course the sex rocked it. Hotel sex is just fun as all fuck, even when the hotel sucks.

I AM hoping to be online more the next few weeks. Going to see how My schedule plays out and what life decides to throw at Me.

For now, I’m going to go eat, read and relax for the night after having taken a grand call during the posting of this blog.
